Catastrophic success

Political Wire (via Scripting News): “In an interview with Time magazine, President Bush declared the war in Iraq a ‘catastrophic success.’ Sen. John Edwards responds in the Washington Post: ‘I, like most Americans, have no idea what that means.'”

Another gem from a few weeks back (also via Scripting News): “Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

In the last four years, you and I have come to know each other. Even when we don’t agree, at least you know what I believe and where I stand. You may have noticed I have a few flaws, too. People sometimes have to correct my English — I knew I had a problem when Arnold Schwarzenegger started doing it. Some folks look at me and see a certain swagger, which in Texas is called “walking.” Now and then I come across as a little too blunt — and for that we can all thank the white-haired lady sitting right up there.

One thing I have learned about the presidency is that whatever shortcomings you have, people are going to notice them — and whatever strengths you have, you’re going to need them. These four years have brought moments I could not foresee and will not forget.

    hi progeny etal..

I would state for the record that the presidents last four years amount to little to help the average american and we all know what those issues are, from no health care to social security, weapon bans ( or lack therof), record deficits, lacking forestation plans and the list goes on and on..and now his recent tyrate with remvoing ban on weapons…this guy is a lunatic.

I would like to also state that we as americans and yes even the world must not lose site of one important fact that I dont think gets enough press or discussion , which is that never in our history has a president sought to disenfranchise an entire group of people with a unconstitutional removal of their god given rights. I am , yes, speaking of rights which like em or not, ‘is’ a right granted ‘by god’, ( find where Jesus says its not okay and also ask yourself when god told you last it wasn’t either : and no dont lay claims about the ‘old testament’ as thats full of old-fashioned rhetoric ) which no man is able or has the right to even ‘try’ to tear under. Those rights might next week become ‘your rights’; ie: whose next ????

I would extrapolate even further that anyone trying to achieve this end is clearly NOT a christian, nor an AMERICAN ; or even a HUMAN.

You now know whom to vote for come Novemeber.

You might be wondering how this works out into talk about Progeny/OSS..well isn’t it clear the a free society with abilities to choose and make clear decisions about its future be directly related to a free and OS Operating System ? ;-)

    You do the math.

    cheers
