Thirty-two years ago today, I was born in Konstanz, West Germany. (Ja, ich spreche Deutsch, aber nicht so gut–ich kann einige verstehen, was gesprochen oder geschrieben ist, aber meine Sprechen und Schreiben sind sehr kaputt.. :-)
According to this guy, my world debut was a turning point in the history of computing:
Progeny is one of the most amazing advancements ever to hit the UNIX world, and the NOW concept is a work of unimaginable genius.. The fact that you can’t recongize [sic] this shows that you are a brain damaged troglodyte. The fact that you choose to disrespect the breathtaking work of Ian Murdock, one of the most important figures in the history of computing, shows that you are nothing but a mentally challenged dimwit.
(Heheh. I’ve been looking for an excuse to link to that.)
Hmm, it seems it’s Saddam Hussein’s birthday too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR IAN HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
(Imagine the worst possible singing voice you’ve ever heard. Then double the volume.)
Hey, I always imagined Mr Ian Murdock to be al lot older, but it turns out you’re only 2 years older than I am. Cool.
